- Michael Landrum is a lifelong conservative Republican who has voted in every Republican Primary since 1984. He has been a delegate to several senatorial district conventions. He and his wife, Mary Grace, have financially supported many Republican candidates.
- The Landrums have been active in the Spring Branch Independent School District. Mary Grace served as a Trustee of the district.
- Michael worked on Republican judicial and state representative campaigns for more than 20 years.
